Doubly is the ceramic practice of Melbourne-based creative Aimee Carruthers.

Aimee rekindled her childhood love of pottery in community classes; the playful, malleable, messy and expressive qualities of clay quickly became a therapeutic outlet for the stresses of her professional work and life.

In 2019, she established a self-led practice in her Brunswick studio, creating sculptural, functional and sometimes dysfunctional works that poke at emotional boundaries and tensions.
